street photography series: lucidity [part 3] . clarity of #expressions exposed in lives walking in a #life that is ever so changing daily, and within a lucid city that is far from clear of cracks. . intrigued by continuous change through the passing of 365 days, it can only be said that no matter whom was passed through the frames of the ancient pebbled #streets and corners, the toll of the city’s burdens on its inhabitance can only be seen off their #faces and reactions to questions on how they manage their lives. from fears of decaying instability in their socio-economic life, to worries of days to come, with all that they might bring from further political unrest. . yet, smiles passed overcame the frowns as the glimmer of lucid hope was ever so revealing even in the roughest words described in stories heard. hope that strength will be kept through the ageless ungendered defined gaps, and even more that places fears aside. . the holy city is by far the city of hope, and a harshest environment cannot seep into the cracks of a soul in life.. . #empowerment is a self preservation state, for one soul and transmitted by human instinct to another and another and others. and that is her story and reality. with three children to raise, from which two are disabled, she created her own small business to survive the reality of no stability in income, or even economic or even health privileges in a small village up the northern West Bank region. drying naturally grown herbs, packing and selling to markets. “cannot see suffering no more, or even wait for no one’s assistance, i have myself and souls to feed and care for, so why should i not stride in pride for a better life?” she expressed. . the frame of the overall #life picture didn’t stop there, as this empowerment transcended to other women that went ahead in her small village to also work through the struggles via their own self made small home businesses. . learning life is one thing, learning to stagnation of economic levels in Jerusalem have yet to be seen to take out the many living under the #poverty line (which is by far in 2019 still increasing at 76% of the east jerusalem residence) to levels that would even trigger a dream of a child to be brought to any reality! . the right of life as humans is yet to be levelled equally. the right of dream to be held is far fetched from any frame
